It’s the first time I’ve opted out of the NHS. There really is no comparison. Excellent dental practice. Welcoming reception, friendly professional service. The dentist explained everything clearly to me which I greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend.

On the day
What happens at your appointment.
- 01
Welcome and history
We’ll go through your medical and dental history, what’s been on your mind, and anything you’d like us to focus on. If it’s been a while since your last visit, that’s fine. Most of our new patients are returning after a long gap.
- 02
Examination
Your dentist will examine your teeth, gums, bite and soft tissues, and carry out an oral cancer screening. If X-rays would help us see something clearly, we’ll take them then. They are already covered by the examination fee.
- 03
Your treatment plan
We’ll walk you through what we found, including the X-rays. If anything needs attention, you’ll leave with a written plan and clear costs. No decisions on the day. You can sit with it, ask family, or come back with questions.

The dentists
A team-led practice.
New patient first appointments are carried out by our associate dentists, all experienced, GDC-registered clinicians who handle the bulk of routine and general care. Our principal dentist, Dr Ibraheem Ijaz, leads the clinical side of the practice and focuses on more complex work, including dental implants, restorative dentistry, root canal treatment and the practice’s seven-day emergency cover. If your plan calls for specialist care, you’ll be referred internally at that stage.
Dr Ibraheem Ijaz: GDC 301711 · BDS UK · BSc Hons · MSc Leeds · PG Dip Implant Dentistry · PG Cert Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry.
In their own words
What new patients say about us.
Very good dentist. He takes the time to explain everything clearly and talks through each step. He would put the most nervous of patient at their ease.
Very satisfied with the quality and support given for my daughter’s visit, recommend to anyone.
After your first visit
If you decide to go ahead with treatment.
There is no obligation to take up any treatment after your first appointment. The £39 covers your examination, X-rays and treatment plan whether you proceed with anything further or not.
If you do choose to go ahead, we offer patient finance through Tabeo. That includes 0% interest over 6 to 18 months, and longer terms up to 60 months at 10.9% APR representative. You can think it over and arrange finance later. Nothing needs to be decided on the day.
Finance provided by Tabeo Finance Limited, FRN 777539. Subject to status and affordability checks. Representative example available on request.
Questions, answered
What exactly is included?
Your full dental examination, any X-rays the dentist judges clinically necessary, an oral cancer screening, and a written treatment plan for anything we’d recommend. There are no hidden add-ons.
Will I be seen by Dr Ibraheem personally?
Not usually at your first appointment. New patient examinations are carried out by one of our associate dentists, who are experienced, GDC-registered clinicians. Dr Ibraheem leads the practice and focuses on more complex work such as implants, root canal treatment and restorative dentistry. If your treatment plan calls for that kind of care, you will be referred internally as a next step.
Can I choose which dentist sees me at follow-up appointments?
Yes. After your first appointment you can ask to stay with the dentist who saw you, or request a specific dentist by name when you book.
What happens if I need treatment?
We’ll talk you through what we found and give you a written plan with clear costs. You can take it home and decide in your own time. There’s nothing to commit to on the day.
Will I definitely need X-rays?
Not always. X-rays are only taken when they’ll help us see something the examination alone can’t show. If they are taken, they are included in the examination fee.
Do you see children?
Yes. A child’s first examination is also £39, including any X-rays clinically indicated. Children can be booked through the same online booking system as adults.
I’m nervous about the dentist. Will that be a problem?
It’s one of the most common reasons people delay their first visit. We see patients every week who haven’t been to a dentist in years. There’s no judgement, no rushing, and nothing happens without your say-so.
Is this an NHS appointment?
No. Deepcar Dental Care is a private practice. The £39 fee is for a private new patient examination with X-rays included.
What if I need to cancel or rearrange?
Let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment and we’ll happily move it. The fee is taken at the time of booking and is refundable if you cancel with notice.
